Start of the EDP Lisbon Marathon

One of the most beautiful races in the world

EDP Lisbon Marathon is considered as one of the most beautiful races in the world and acclaimed by international media such as the Forbes Magazine, the Huffington Post and American Express.

Starting in Estrada N6-7 at Carcavelos, and finishing at Praça do Comércio, the EDP Lisbon Marathon course is 100% sea and river side, providing to the runners an unique view along the race.

The EDP Lisbon Marathon is an official race of the International Athletics Federation (IAAF) calendar and it’s becoming a top international race, attracting the top elite athletes and thousands of foreign runners from all over the world.

Participation Kitbag

The delivery of the participation kitbags (bib number and official t-shirt) will take place on Thursday, and Friday on the 23th, and the 24th of October from 10:00 AM to 20:00 PM, at the Sport Expo, in Lisbon. Soon, the organization will share the full address.

The athletes must present their registration document (sent by email) to collect their kitbag.

The athletes can nominate someone to collect their BIB. The nominee needs to present the registration document from the registered runner.

The participation kitbag includes:

1 technical T-shirt

1 BIB with chip

1 bag

How to get to the starting line

The starting line is located at Estrada N6-7 in Carcavelos. To get to the starting line the participants can use for free (presenting their BIB) the public transportation offer (train, subway and buses) hired by the organization. Closer to the race date, the organization will share all the information about the transports to the start.

The public transportation will be free to all runners, from the start of the service until 5 pm.
